About
This Course explores how to effectively apply positive reinforcement in ridden work, helping you build clarity, confidence, and connection with your horse. You’ll learn how to structure ridden exercises using rewards, how to progress training step by step, and how your seat - through weight, posture, and body position - interacts with voice cues, rein aids, and positive reinforcement. The course also looks at how to introduce and develop tactile cues such as leg and rein aids within a reward-based framework. Alongside this, you’ll explore common challenges like horses that are reluctant to move forward, become anxious, rush, or disconnect, and how to work through these issues using thoughtful, structured exercises. The overall focus is on improving balance, body awareness, and communication so you and your horse can feel like a confident, connected team. Each module contains groundwork exercises for preparation, a demonstration and explanation of all the cues and aids, and a set of progressive exercises for you to follow with your horse.
